Florence School District 3’s College, Career and Student Outreach Services coordinates and collaborates with outside agencies, colleges, and the workforce, to promote college and career-ready opportunities for students.
Located in lower Florence County, Florence School District 3 is the second largest of the five school districts in the county. The district is at the midpoint between Columbia and Myrtle Beach, S.C. It is home to many well-known graduates, such as Challenger astronaut and physicist Dr. Ronald E. McNair, and many doctors, lawyers, educators, judges, and business leaders.
Florence 3’s Lake City Early College High School offers seven specialized College and Career Readiness programs. CTE Director Leon Burgess partnered with Rhodes Branding to bolster the visibility of these programs for the 2023-24 school year and beyond.
Our work primarily focused on creating effective marketing strategies and collateral to showcase the programs and reach target audiences at key moments. This included developing five 15-second video spots for several of the programs and promotional rack cards for the district staff to engage with current students and families.
In June 2024, we also launched a robust CTE microsite to serve as the destination for each marketing initiative. The site features pages for each program, outlining the course offerings, certifications available, earning potential, and key program contacts, as well as a news and events page for community members to stay informed about various happenings.
