As the nation’s leader in education freedom, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) is committed to ensuring that every school—traditional public, charter, or virtual—has access to the educators they need. FLDOE launched a new educator recruitment initiative powered by PowerSchool’s SchoolSpring platform, and partnered with Rhodes Branding to develop a unified identity and promotional strategy: Teach in Florida.

Storyline

In 2024, the Florida Department of Education set out to reimagine how schools across the state attract and hire educators. While Florida consistently ranks first in the nation for education freedom and parent engagement, school leaders faced challenges navigating a fragmented recruitment landscape, especially in reaching diverse, out-of-state candidates and streamlining internal hiring systems.

FLDOE partnered with PowerSchool to create the Florida SchoolSpring Consortium Job Board, a centralized, statewide platform designed to connect job seekers with opportunities across all 67 public school districts and 700+ charter schools. But the success of this tool depended not just on functionality—but on awareness, access, and a cohesive statewide message.

Working in close collaboration with FLDOE’s communications team, Rhodes developed a refreshed brand identity for the Teach in Florida campaign. The visual identity was built for consistency across platforms, from web to print to social. A full brand style guide was developed, equipping the FLDOE and partner districts with everything needed to keep the campaign cohesive and clear.

Rhodes designed a customized one-pagers to support school leaders in promoting the platform. These materials broke down the platform’s features, explained registration steps, and highlighted key benefits—such as automated job postings, map-based search tools, and seamless integration with PowerSchool ATS and Spark Hire. The goal: make it simple for schools to get onboarded and excited to participate.

The campaign officially launched in tandem with a statewide memo sent to all superintendents and charter directors. As districts and charters registered, they received branded onboarding materials, a walkthrough of the system, and support from PowerSchool’s implementation team. Rhodes’ visuals were integrated into the platform’s landing page, ensuring that educators landing on the site encountered a welcoming, branded experience.
