Across Pennsylvania, educators are asked to do more than ever before—teach, adapt, innovate, and grow professionally, often with limited time. Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 (AIU8) recognized that traditional professional development platforms were failing to meet the realities of modern teaching. Instead of adding another compliance-driven system, they envisioned something different: a platform built around practical, flexible learning designed specifically for educators.

Storyline

Rhodes Branding partnered with Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 (AIU8) to modernize and elevate the JoltEDU brand, positioning it as a leading professional learning platform for educators. The goal was to clarify JoltEDU’s value while expanding awareness among district leaders, Intermediate Units, and classroom educators.

The updated identity reflects JoltEDU’s educator-first philosophy with a clean, modern design and messaging centered on practical, flexible learning. Rhodes Branding also developed a comprehensive marketing framework to support adoption across Pennsylvania, including brand guidelines, marketing tools, website refinements, and integrated campaign strategy.

The work earned national recognition when Rhodes Branding received a Gold ADDY Award at the 2026 American Advertising Awards for its strategic branding work on JoltEDU.

Today, JoltEDU continues to grow as a flexible professional learning platform—helping educators build skills, share expertise, and learn in the rhythm of their day.
