Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8, an education service agency in Altoon, PA, partnered with Rhodes Branding to reposition JoltEDU as a leading educator-first microlearning platform. While the product was strong and adoption within AIU8’s districts was growing, the brand lacked the clarity and confidence needed to stand apart from compliance-driven learning management systems.
The partnership began with discovery and brand insight meetings involving district leaders, instructional coaches, and classroom educators. Through research and stakeholder interviews, we identified a consistent theme: educators value professional learning that is practical, respectful of their time, and immediately applicable. JoltEDU delivered that experience, but the brand needed to say so more boldly.
This insight informed a refreshed messaging platform anchored in a simple promise: professional development should be worth your time. From there, we modernized JoltEDU’s visual identity, refined its tone of voice, and redesigned the website experience to better reflect the simplicity and flexibility of the platform itself.
The relaunch included a restructured sitemap, SEO-forward copywriting, and a streamlined user journey designed to support both district-level adoption and individual educator engagement. The new identity presents JoltEDU as clean, modern, and educator-centered.
The updated brand and website now position JoltEDU for expanded district subscriptions, increased course enrollments, and deeper engagement statewide.
